An overview of the 5th Annual Working Time Forum which took place in March 2011 at the Celtic Manor Resort

The Working Time Change Forum covers a broad range of working time issues that commonly affect organisations – especially relevant in today’s economic climate. This two day residential forum brings together organisations from a broad range of sectors. Delegates have the opportunity to hear and learn from organisations who have themselves implemented working time change strategies utilising Lean Employee Resourcing methods – including the benefits achieved and the pitfalls to avoid.
Day 1 will be taking a hard look at the massive financial benefits which can be achieved by using Lean Employee Rourcing and Day 2 will look at how organisations actually implement these strategies including real case studies from guest speakers and the theory behind Lean Employee Resourcing.
By looking differently at how your employee resources are deployed, using technology to develop and manage new working arrangements and shift patterns that match demand (even when it changes throughout the year) and giving team members more flexibility about when they work; productivity increases, efficiency is improved and costs begin to fall. It is an approach referred to as Lean Employee Resourcing (Lean-ER) and this will be discussed in detail at the Forum.
The forum also features leading employment law specialists who will be covering the legal aspects which need to be considered when introducing
working time change and the Health and Safety Executive will be discussing the impact shift work has on Health and Safety.

The forum also includes leading employment law specialists ClarksLegal LLP who will be covering the legal aspects which need to be considered when introducing working time change and the Health and Safety Executive will be discussing the impact shift work has on Health and Safety.
